The Palariccione or Palazzo dei Congressi represents a major conference facility located in Riccione, province of Rimini. Started in 1999, the project was completed with its inauguration on May 24, 2008. Architects Alessandro Anselmi and Carlo and Piero Gandolfi, together with Studio Passarelli, have created a modern building made mainly of steel and glass and located in the center of Riccione.
A modern and versatile structure
The facility covers several levels: two basement levels used for parking and a commercial area on the ground floor. On the second floor is a large entrance hall with reception facilities, such as bar, reception desk, Internet point, checkroom, relaxation area, and information desks. The second floor houses six digital movie theaters, while five conference rooms with a total capacity of 2,500 people are distributed between the third and fourth levels.
5 rooms for all needs
The facility provides 5 rooms, which can be modulated as needed: Concordia hall, the largest, with a maximum seating capacity of 1,400 people on an area of 1,800 square meters; Polissena hall, with 608 seats; and, finally, the smaller Ginevra, Violante and Costanza halls, with a maximum seating capacity of 85 people. All rooms can be divided into smaller spaces with capacity for up to 40 people each. The fifth level, called Riccione City Eye, offers a panoramic space with all-glass walls, ideal for business breakfasts, dinners and special events.Strategic Location and Local Attractions
In addition to the modular structure and the level of services offered, there is another thing that makes the Convention Center palace desirable as a conference tourism destination: the location. It is located, in fact, on Virgilio Avenue, a stone's throw from Dante Avenue and Ceccarini Avenue, just over a 5-minute walk from the train station and the sea. It is, therefore, located in an area full of shopping opportunities, elegant cafes and restaurants of all kinds, making a stay in Riccione for work extremely pleasant.
