For Mr. Tony Huphries House Music is a mission: as a leader on a mondial level, he thinks that it is his responsibility to make a great example of how to play it to make it popular.
This is a commitment he undertook during the eighties, when Acid Music from Chicago was played everywhere. New York didn’t fail to reply: Garage Music, promoted  and performed by Mr. Huphries from the Paradise-Garage in Nw York.
Sounds and rhythms borrowed from soul, jazz and gospel, beautifully mixed...it is magic on the dance floor!
 "I´m not happy with the curent tendency in House Music, because very hard sounds are chosen instead of smoother melodies which are "the real thing", possibly more difficult to understand but definitely worth trying. I can’t change the fashion but I’m doing my best for a good promotion of proper House Music instead of its commercial version."
Travelling the world is for him the best way to achieve his purpose and also get inspired by different and fascinating realities. About the first time he was invited to perform in London. “Incredible, like in Stallone´s movie Rocky, American flags everywhere, people cheering at each corner of my box!"
The first time he played in Romagna was in 1993 with DJ Ralf in DaDaDa, and since then on he has also played several times in Echoes - where he’s often the special guest star on Magic Mondays - Pascia´, Paradiso. In his opinion "Riccione is definitely an important display for House Music".
In which way are Riccione Night Clubs unique and peculiar?
"They obviously excel in design, plus they are huge...you could get lost easily...amazing spaces, which you can rarely find elsewhere in Europe, and only recently!
How much can Riccione do for House Music?
"A lot, because most of the night clubs in here play the good one, not the commercial version".
How do you feel before and after a performance in Riccione?
"Astonished...especially by what you see: everything is stylish in its own way...and beautiful women are everywhere!".
And what is left when you leave?
"Not so much energy...".
