Even this year Riccione is getting ready to celebrate Christmas and New Year’s Eve. The bright ornaments on display along Viale Dante and Viale Ceccarini are not to be missed, the magic of the ice rink  close by to the sea, the shows and concerts that interchange on  Piazzale Roma’s stage  during New Year’s Eve. The night will be crowned by a spectacular firework show performed in rhythm to music in Piazzale Roma (by the sea, at the end of Viale Ceccarini) with the striking background of the winter sea. By now, for the little ones will be time to return home while for the discos-lover it will be only the beginning of the longest night of the year, full of entertaining parties in the discos in the Riccione hills. Later, in the morning, the bravest will have the chance to join the bands of “temerari del mare” (daredevils of the sea) or “Quei de vilag” (those of the village), who from 12pm and armed with a good dose of craziness will plunge into the freezing sea and then come out and toast the New Year with all the spectators with hot tea and mulled wine.
