This awarded is given to the sea side proven to be the best in cleanliness and hygiene, not only when it comes to water and beaches, but also considering the general urban services and commitment to the natural environment.
Riccione is, therefore, the 9th city in Emilia Romagna to have achieved this important goal. Also, within the end of next year the sea side will be provided with an exclusively pedestrian walk and underground car parks, thanks not only to the city council but also to private funding. Cattolica is the other city which showed a great effort during this year. In fact, its beaches, covered in very fine sand, very big and clean, are the ideal for families with children.
The constant cleaning of the coast along with the many services offered are the reason why these cities often win the “blue flag”.   Roof-less gyms, bikes, spinning, beach-volley, dance courses, Jacuzzi, beach-soccer and much, much more…that’s what you can find here, but describing and listing is not enough, you must just come and see! Besides, do not forget the sports you practice directly on the sea, for experts but also beginners. Also, at night, enjoy the new lighting which allows you to admire a wonderful sea view from the new bridges and walking paths – extremely romantic!
