August Bank Holiday in Riccione

It is surely the hottest period of the summer, if not climatically, then surely for the number of tourists and events that group round Riccione’s beaches, main avenues and parks. The middle of August is surely the most intense to spend in a tourist resort because, as well as the high number of tourists who leave the city to spend some cool days by the sea, the residents also leave their offices and the inland companies for a few days and pour into the funfairs and beaches. In Riccione, all the discos are open every night during the middle of August and often at Ferragosto (august 15th) the night of discoing finishes in the middle of the following day thanks to the numerous and various after-hours bars. However, municipal and religious events are also present (for the Catholic Church, August 15th is the Feast of the Assumption, dedicated to the Virgin Mary).
