June 2 (which is not always a weekend but the last long holiday of the school year) attracts large numbers of both tourists and local inhabitants, who flock to the avenues and beaches of the Green Pearl in order to meet old friends or strike up new friendships.

It is a civil celebration which takes place when the sun starts to shine again and spring rains are just only a memory. The weekend (or long holiday) of June 2 comes to be the first real “summer test”, when car parks are full and pushchairs crowd the most famous shopping avenues.

Beaches and local attractions are ready to welcome even the most demanding tourists and discos and beach clubs start offering evening appetizers and events.

Summer in Riccione starts on June 2 (even if the long holidays of April 25 and May 1 try to anticipate it).
